Hey Guys 😉
I hope you are enjoying your long weekend… and as it is a long weekend we are more likely to go out with our friends and explore city, since we don’t have to get up in the morning. Life is sweet:)
I visited really lovely French restaurant last night. One of my favorite places “Cote Brasserie” in Ealing West London. Fantastic family place but also great to celebrate birthdays or just romantic dinner for two etc. At the moment Cote Brasserie celebrates 10 year anniversary, so they did put together a special menu… for £27 you can choose your own three course meal + plus you get a glass of beautifully chilled champagne… I mean that I call a GREAT DEAL!!! 🙂
Food was worth it every penny..to start with I had a goat cheese on bed of salad with walnuts and warm dressing, just melting in my mouth…to fallow I had medium rare sirloin steak, beautifully seasoned with chips and Bearnaise sauce, and dessert wasn’t disappointing ether. French Crepe with oranges and Grand Mariner with vanilla ice-cream. One word: Yummmmmm…. really lovely evening and fantastic food…
….but there is a thing, which is rather disappointing…Is the service charge 12.5% (optional as it say) I mean really?!? Is that necessary? I’m sorry but that just spoiled my evening… 12.5% thats a lot. if my bill that evening lets say would of came to £150.00 there would be £18.75 added as a service charge…. that is just wrong!!! If your service is great and I’m happy at the end of my meal, of course I will leave you a tip. we really don’t need to be told…
I’m aware many restaurants does it….it came to us from US and we just have to copy everything. Wouldn’t be just nice to see on the bill ” Thank you for coming and we hope to see you soon again”?? well..Its just a suggestion.
I definitely will be visiting Cote Brasserie again as I like my French food and they are good at it, but personally I think that tipping at the end of the day is our personal choice.
Let me know what you guys think.
have a great day x
